It’ll be so cool!’ Despite the large part that Zoe Nightshade played in The Titan's Curse, and being involved in Hercules' 11th task, she is never mentioned in Hercules' chapter, and neither was Nereus.

The artist / illustration style is the same as in the other companion book about the Greek gods, but maybe a little less comical and more serious (perhaps due to the nature of the stories?). I liked both it and the colour palette as it was very varied, just like the stories. But what should he turn into? An ant would work. Zeus had done that once before with a different girl. But he wanted to make a good first impression, and ants don’t have much of a ‘wow’ factor. However, that would contradict The Hidden Oracle where Leo returned and The Burning Maze due to the death of Jason Grace. Although, they could've had the party without them.

My main criticism is that there were way too many modern references. A few of them would have been fine, but there were several per chapter. Live monsters. Two or more should suffice. Poisonous fangs and inhuman strength adds to the potency of your potion

Upon mixing the above ingredients, let it rest under a full moon. If you've brewed it right, it should taste bitter and salty, yet wholly satisfying. Note: Medea is awesome. As the daughter of the goddess of war and wisdom, Annabeth knows she was born to be a leader, but never again does she want to be without Seaweed Brain by her side. Well, my evil-thinking friend, the gods took family murders very seriously (which is weird, since the gods basically invented family murders). If you killed your own child, Hades would make sure you got a special punishment in the Underworld. The Furies would come after you. The Fates would snip your lifeline. Some major bad karma would mess up your day. However, if your child just ‘accidentally’ expired in an underground bronze cell … that wasn’t strictly murder. That was more like Oops, how did that happen? Gods can't time travel! I mean, sure, it was really funny, but these kinds of jokes were used a lot.

Who’s supposed to take the throne and carry on the family name?’ Dude, that is wrong,’ Zeus said to himself. ‘What kind of father imprisons his own daughter so she can’t fall in love or have kids?’For example: One time, Hermes shows up in a UPS uniform in front of Perseus who asks him the meaning of the symbols on his shirts. Maybe you’re wondering: if Acrisius was so worried about her having children, why didn’t he just kill her? While passing the island with the Sirens, Orpheus played Jimi Hendrix. This was mentioned again before the fight against Talos. I guess it’s cool. If you’re looking to fight monsters yourself, these stories might help you avoid some common mistakes – like staring Medusa in the face, or buying a used mattress from any dude named Crusty. He was a god, of course. He had skills. He could simply blast the doors open, but that might scare the poor girl. Plus, then he’d have to kill a bunch of guards, and that would be messy. Causing explosions and leaving a trail of mangled corpses didn’t set the right mood for a first date.
