About this deal

The convenient location of the slider enables quick volume adjustment during finger drum performances. Sampler Volume Fader - In between the the performance pads is a volume slider to control output of the trigger pads. You can use these performance pads to finger drum, incorporate your own samples, without the need for a computer. It also bears the same strong, confidence-inspiring build quality as the monstrous DDJ-SX, with seemingly identical control components and a robust chassis with an aluminum top panel.

The DDJ-SP1 works alongside the rest of your musical setup, rather than being a standalone controller or mixer.A single fader knob in the middle controls the volume, three knobs on both sides for controlling FX parameters and a BPM jogwheel make up the main controls of the DDJ-SP1.

Slip Mode – Pioneer included a Slip Mode function that enables continuous music playback in the background even when loops and hot cues are being performed. And if it’s something you’ll use, the included Serato Video plug-in and control capabilities make it even more appealing.Probably most critical to the entire unit, the SP1’s eight backlit rubber pads per deck utilize function buttons to access an impressive 8 modes of pad performance. You may find that you perform better in the second slicer mode if you still don’t have much experience. In either mode, the Beats encoder adjusts the timing of the beat syncing from 30 values (16th note triplet up to 32nd note dotted), and there’s a Tap tempo button, as well. The rubber pads and buttons are robust and durable, while the aluminum top plate gives the controller a premium look that will look good in any set-up. And, if you subscribe to the Creative plan, use Cloud Library Sync for seamless library management across multiple devices, and easily make custom versions of tracks in Edit mode.

There’s a manual loop mode on the DDJ-SP1, where you can just have your pads function exactly as the printed text over them suggests. This is a great way to add some expressive riffing to your set with little consequence for mistakes.Aimed squarely at users of Serato DJ mixers and controllers, the tantalizing DDJ-SP1 distills down the essential effects and performance pad sections from the extremely popular DDJ-SX into one expertly laid-out add-on controller. Despite being designed for Serato, the DDJ-SP1’s 16 pads can be remapped to work with any DJ software. The DDJ SP1 comprises some of the most important effects deck and performance pad controls available from sections on the DDJ-SX. Just like its predecessor, the Digital DDJ-SX, the SP1 has designed and constructed to be strong and sturdy yet lightweight, and to uphold excitable use.

With the sub-controller, DJs can enhance their performances with multiple effects, similar to what's being done with our extremely popular DDJ-SX controller for Serato DJ. Is combining the features both of those units almost like the equivalent of using just a more expensive controller?

The only difference is that the Velocity Sampler mode alters sample volume according the strength which with you hit the pad, and the regular Sampler mode triggers samples at full volume every time.
